The University at Buffalo Student-Wide Judiciary (SWJ) is looking for University Hearing Representatives to join our team! The role of the University Hearing Representatives is to hold hearings for students who allegedly violate UB’s Student Code of Conduct. Other responsibilities may include scheduling hearings, drafting documents, and other various office tasks.

While students initially work on a volunteer basis, there are paid opportunities as well. For example, the Chief Hearing Representative receives a salary along with a tuition waiver(!). The time commitment for a University Hearing Representative is approximately 4 hours per week.

This is a really great opportunity to work on critical thinking, communication, and interviewing skills. The University at Buffalo Student-Wide Judiciary is a unique experience, and is consistently asked about in interviews by employers.

Interested students should send a resume and cover letter to Chief Hearing Representative Alyssa Mings via email to amings@buffalo.edu. Any questions can be sent to that email as well.
