Post by Pro Bono »

1. You apply for the July 2019 New York Bar Exam (the UBE – Uniform Bar Exam) NOW from April 1 – 30, 2019

2. In May 2019, applicants who registered for the New York Bar Exam will receive two forms:

Certificate of Attendance – you can bring this form to Records & Registration, but they will also receive a copy directly from the Board of Law Examiners

Specimen of Applicant’s Handwriting – this form MUST be completed in front of the staff at Records & Registration or a notary. I may be “tabling” May 7th after Professor MacDonald’s exam (12 noon – 2 pm) to enable you to do the forms in front of me also.

Make sure nybarexam.org is on your safe senders list!

3. In late May, you will get an e-mail from ExamSoft Worldwide if you elected the use of your personal computer. Add barsupport@examsoft.com to your safe senders list. Follow the instructions for use of a laptop explicitly!!

4. In early June you will receive an e-mail from the Board of Law Examiners enabling you to choose a bar exam location – Buffalo, Albany, Saratoga, White Plains or NYC. It is first come first serve with New York JD’s having first choice. SO, LOOK for that e-mail and act fast to choose your preferred site.
