URGENT: Volunteers Needed to Assist Jefferson Ave. Neighbors

Stephen Vasquez, Class of 2024, has been on-site at the Wiley Pavilion with the American Red Cross, providing advocacy services to the Jefferson Avenue neighborhood impacted by the horrific events on Saturday. He is requesting assistance from members of the School of Law community to assist him with these important steps in the healing and recovery efforts for our Buffalo neighbors.

ON-SITE Volunteers Needed!! Urgent – Students, faculty and staff

Location: American Red Cross at the Wiley Pavilion Headquarters, 1100 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14208

Help Needed: To provide relief on site, directing adults and children to the Wiley Pavilion for resources and trauma-based counseling services; curate and provide flyers for individuals to call the 211 hotline which provides critical resources for the local victims and those individuals who are suffering silently due to the lack of knowledge of resources.

Hours: Report to the Pavilion (address above) anytime from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm now through Friday, 5/20. Everyone is welcome for as much or as little time as you can give.
