Pre-Orientation: Zero-L Program Up and Running

Post by Student Life »

Posting on behalf of Prof. MacDonald....

As was announced earlier, this year UB School of Law has partnered with Harvard Law School to offer a short but information-packed online introduction to law school called Zero-L. This series of lively video lectures and intermittent comprehension checks will give you and your classmates background that will help you get off to a great start when classes begin. By now, every student should have access to the Zero-L program, and we urge you to take advantage of it! Each of you should have received an email from “Canvas for Harvard Ex Ed” providing you with a unique access link. If you cannot locate this email, please contact Professor MacDonald at wmacdona@buffalo.edu.

While the Zero-L program is an optional resource, we encourage you to take maximum benefit of the program by viewing it in its entirety during the month of August, before Orientation. Note that some of its components will be used by your professors as required assignments in your 1L classes and programs, including Jump Start, Legal Profession, and Legal Analysis, Writing, & Research. Students will have access to Zero-L throughout their first year of law school, and therefore will be able to access and review lessons whenever they are assigned in class.
