Start NY Law Course now (bar admission) May 11th deadline for June 10th NY Law Exam

As part of the admission process to the New York Bar, applicants MUST also complete the New York Law Course (NYLC) and the New York Law Exam (NYLE). Both are on-line. The New York Law Course is approximately fifteen hours of on-line content with imbedded questions. If you get a question wrong, it will require you to repeat the section where the question is contained. You MUST complete the New York Law Course before you may register for New York Law Examination (NYLE)

The next New York Law Exam is May 11, 2021. You MIST COMPLETE the New York Law Course and register for the New York Law Exam by 11:59 pm on Thursday, June 10, 2021. So, if you want to take the June exam, start the New York Law Course NOW!!!

The 50 item, open book, two hour, multiple choice is an on-line New York Law Examination.

The NYLE will be given on:

Date of NYLE: June 10, 2021 12:00PM
Registration Deadline: May 11, 2021 11:59PM

Date of NYLE: September 16, 2021 12:00PM
Registration Deadline: August 17, 2021 11:59PM

TOO Late for January bar admission if you pass the July Bar exam:
Date of NYLE: December 16, 2021 12:00PM
Registration Deadline: November 16, 2021 11:59PM

The deadline to register for the New York Law Examination is thirty (30) days before the New York Law Examination. The fee is $27 for the NYLE to Examsoft.

You MUST pay the $27 fee and take the Examsoft practice test by 4 pm One week prior to the exam.

You MUST upload the exam by 4 pm the day before the exam.

If you fail to do either of these tasks, you will forfeit your registration for the New York Law Exam.

You may complete the New York Law Course and New York Law Examination after the bar examination. You may complete both prior to or after taking the UBE (Uniform Bar Examination in July). The results of the New York Law Exam are good for only ONE year.
