NYS Supreme Court Special Term - LIVE CASES - Wednesday 3/25

Post by AdvocacyInstitute »

This event is open to law students, BA/JD students, faculty and staff.

Once again this semester, Hon. Ralph A. Boniello III ’69, New York State Supreme Court Justice in Niagara County, will be holding Special Term sittings (for actual civil cases) in the Francis M. Letro Courtroom on two separate dates. The first sitting will be on Wednesday, March 25 from approximately 9:30 am and conclude when all cases are heard (usually by noon the latest). After each sitting, there will be an opportunity for students to ask Justice Boniello (and perhaps the attorneys) about what they observed in the courtroom. The second sitting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29.

The schedule will involve some combination of bench trials, motion hearings and other civil matters. A few days before the sitting, Judge Boniello will highlight cases that may be of special interest to law students, which students will be able to access online. I will post this on SIP as soon as I receive the information.

Coffee and bagels will be provided. Please RSVP to Dawn Skopinski at skopinsk@buffalo.edu for bagel ordering purposes. However, don't let this request stop you from attending at the last minute.

Hope to see you there!
