Just Mercy: Post-Film Discussion Event - 10/2
We here at the American Constitution Society - University of Buffalo School of Law, in conjunction with Represent Justice, were happy to have been able to provide you with the ability to screen Just Mercy for free if you hadn't yet seen the film.
No matter how you watched the movie (or even if you didn't!), we hope you will join us for this amazing event –appropriately taking place on International Wrongful Conviction Day – with our guest speaker, Fernando Bermudez, an advocate from Represent Justice. This organization is working across the country to push for a fair legal system, particularly for people of color.
Date: Friday, October 2, 2020
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Register here to attend!

Guest Speaker, abbreviated bio:
Mr. Bermudez was wrongfully convicted and incarcerated for 18 years here in New York, ultimately becoming the first Latino to be legally exonerated for "actual innocence." He has gone on to help Connecticut abolish the death penalty and has worked tirelessly to share his message both nationally and across the world.
