Congratulations to the Charles S. Desmond Moot Court Competition Winners

Our annual intramural Charles S. Desmond Moot Court Competition concluded on Saturday, November 14. After four rounds of arguments, the final rounds were judged by Hon. Jeremiah J. McCarthy, US Magistrate Judge, WDNY; Aviva Abramovsky, Dean and Professor of Law, UB School of Law; and Paul J. Cambria, Jr., Criminal Defense Attorney, Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria, LLP.

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of our 2020 Charles S. Desmond Moot Court Competition:

Overall winners: Daniel Caves ’21 & Patrick Callahan ’22
Runners up: Canio Marasco '22 & Marc Cange '22

Best Brief: Daniel Caves '21 & Patrick Callahan '22
Runner up--Best Brief: Jenna Bauer '21 & Jeremy Trudell '21

Best Oral Advocates: Canio Marasco '22 & Daniel Caves '21

A big THANK YOU to the Buffalo Moot Court Board, all the teams who participated, as well as to the teams of judges who made this year’s competition another huge success!
