DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FRI 10/28 @ 12 NOON: 2022 Representation in Mediation Competition

Attn 2Ls and 3Ls! Deadline EXTENDED for student registration: Friday, October 28 at 12 noon.

We are seeking ONE more team of 2 students for the UB School of Law Representation in Mediation Competition. It doesn't have to be 2 people signing up together as we can make a team out of 2 singles. This year’s competition will be held in-person on Saturday, November 19th from 8 am - 5:30 pm.

Because an increasing number of civil legal cases are referred to mediation by the courts, or mediation is agreed to by both sides of a legal dispute, it is vital that the lawyer accompanying his or her client to the mediation table has the knowledge and skill-set necessary to maximize the client’s results in this context. This Competition is great practice for future lawyers to hone their attorney advocacy and negotiation skills in a mediation setting. The interaction between lawyer and client and the use of interest-based problem solving is the focus of the Representation in Mediation Competition. It'll be a great experience!!
