The Fall 2019 Pro Se Civil Litigation Practicum is seeking a couple more students to staff placements in both Rochester and Buffalo!

Rochester or Buffalo Federal Court for Fall 2019

Work with clients, judges, and attorneys in Rochester for the semester! Dean Gargano is looking for one or two dedicated, hardworking students for a volunteer internship with the Rochester Volunteer Legal Services Project in Rochester. The student will be staffing in Rochester Federal Court on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 2:15 p.m. and will also have additional opportunities to work with clients and in courts. The same work is also available in Buffalo Federal Court with Volunteer Lawyers Project.

If you are interested in earning credit for this work, you can also join the Pro Se Civil Litigation Practicum, which is a four-credit course offered through the clinical department with Dean Gargano and Bridget O’Connell, Esq., the President of the Erie County Bar Association and a law clerk to Judge O’Donnell. Class meets on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In the internship or the course, students will earn the 50 hours of pro bonoservice required for admission to the N.Y. Bar.
