Work with clients, judges, and attorneys in Rochester for this semester! Dean Gargano is looking for a dedicated, hardworking student for a volunteer internship with the Rochester Volunteer Legal Services Project in Rochester. The student will be staffing in Rochester Federal Court on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Opportunities may also be available to staff at the state court help desk in Rochester.
If you are interested in earning credit for this work, you can join the Access to Justice Hybrid Clinic, which is a four-credit course with Dean Gargano and Bridget O’Connell, Esq., president of the Erie County Bar Association. Class meets on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In the internship or the course, students will earn the 50 hours of pro bono service required for admission to the N.Y. Bar. It is also a great opportunity to work for clients in poverty and underrepresented populations all while networking with Rochester judges and attorneys.
If you are interested or have questions, please contact Dean Gargano at gargano@buffalo.edu. To expedite the process, attach a résumé.
