The panel is open to all members of the law school and University community and will address the ways in which law, policing and race intersect, especially in the context of the use of force by police against people of color. Attention will be given not only to the applicable legal rules, but also to the social, economic, cultural, and racial factors that exacerbate the tensions between law enforcement and communities of color in America.
