The Attica Prison Uprising – Legal Perspectives & Legacy

On Thursday, September 13, at 4:00 pm, the Baldy Center for Law & Social Policy will host Dr. Heather Ann Thompson, an award-winning author and Professor of History at the University of Michigan. Dr. Thompson’s book, “Blood in the Water: The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and Its Legacy,” won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in History. She will discuss the Attica uprising from the perspectives of history and law, as well as the legacy and the lessons learned.
