The University at Buffalo Student-Wide Judiciary (SWJ) is looking for University Hearing Representatives to join our team! The role of the University Hearing Representatives is to hold hearings for students who allegedly violate UB’s Student Code of Conduct.
This is a really great opportunity to work on critical thinking, communication, and interviewing skills. It is also something that is always asked about in interviews by employers and is regarded as a unique experience.
While students initially work on a voluntary basis, there are paid opportunities as well. For example, the Chief Hearing Representative receives a salary along with a tuition waiver(!).The time commitment for Hearing Representatives is around 4 hours a week.
If you are interested or have additional questions, please email a cover letter and resume to the Chief Hearing Representative, Alyssa Mings '22, at: amings@buffalo.edu. Interviews are on a rolling basis so apply as soon as possible if interested. To find out more information about SWJ, visit: https://www.buffalo.edu/studentlife/lif ... MiioJFFFiI.
