Clinic Summer Student Attorney/Associate - 2 Positions Available

If you are energetic, detail-oriented, motivated, able to manage multiple priorities, and interested in social justice… this may be the perfect opportunity for you! The Clinic Summer Student Attorney/Associate will be admitted under the Clinic’s Student Practice Order and will be able to represent clients (maybe even appearing in court if the opportunity arises)!
The Clinic Summer Student Attorney/Associate will be responsible for assisting with cases for several clinics including: COVID Law & Community Engagement Clinic, Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic, Environmental Advocacy Clinic, and the Access to Justice Hybrid Clinic. Clinic Summer Associates may also review and prepare correspondence, prepare discovery, legal research and draft legal memoranda, type and modify documents, prepare case folders, locate and interview witnesses, client intake, and maintain files, and perhaps appear in court or working with government officials directly.
Our office is open Monday - Friday 9:00 am. – 4:00 pm. Fellows are able to work a maximum of 29 hours per week with some flexible hours. Position is paid at University graduate assistant rate of $12.50/ hr.
