The University at Buffalo Student-Wide Judiciary (SWJ) is looking for University Hearing Representatives to join our team! The role of the University Hearing Representatives is to facilitate hearings for students who allegedly violate UB’s Student Code of Conduct. Other responsibilities may include scheduling hearings, drafting documents, communicating with students, and other various office tasks. The time commitment for a University Hearing Representative is approximately 4 hours per week.

While University Hearing Representatives work on a volunteer basis, there are opportunities for growth within the office that include pay. For example, the Chief Hearing Representative receives a partial tuition waiver and a stipend.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical thinking, communication, and questioning skills. The University at Buffalo Student-Wide Judiciary is a unique experience, and is consistently asked about in interviews by employers.

Please contact the Chief Hearing Representative, Alyssa Mings '22, at amings@buffalo.edu with any questions. If you’d like to apply, submit a cover letter and resume to the same email.
