Need information from vets, reservists & others who were in Afghanistan in past two years- Afghan Refugee Asylum Project
Posted: Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:08 pm
The School of Law's Pro Bono Office is working with local legal services agencies on a project to assist Afghan refugees in the Buffalo area to gain appropriate immigration status. We will be recruiting law students to assist with this project.
Right now we need information on conditions, geography and other issues from vets, military reservists, active duty members and/or others who were in Afghanistan in past two years. Individuals would be asked to provide non-classified information to be used to identify, understand and/or confirm country conditions that immigrants are reporting. You would be speaking to a pro bono attorney at the International Institute and would not be asked to provide affidavits or any other confirming information.
If you can help, please contact Vice Dean Melinda Saran at saran@buffalo.edu.
thank you!
