Celebrate Pro Bono Week at UB Law!

Did you know that applicants for Admission to the New York State bar must provide an affidavit certifying that they have completed fifty (50) hours of law-related pro bono work? We can help you meet that requirement while you are in law school!

Pro Bono Table Days
Monday, October 23th and Tuesday, October 24th from 10 am – 3 pm in the lobby of O’Brian Hall

The following organizations will be tabling to talk about their pro bono opportunities (and also their internships, externships, summer jobs and permanent jobs).

Pro Bono Facts for Law Students:

Qualifying law-related pro bono work includes:
o Law school clinics
o Law school Externship or law-related internship placements
o Law school practica
o Internships with a Judge or court system (providing law-related services)
o Federal, state or local government agency or legislative body (excluding political work or political party work)
o Law-related work for a legal services, government or not-for-profit organization

Pro bono work does not include:
o Political campaign work
o Work for private law firms or attorneys
o non- law- related work
