SNAP food support application assistance on campus Fall 2024

To help support students, University at Buffalo Health Promotion is offering on-campus SNAP application assistance for students again this fall.
Working students may be eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which provides monthly food benefits to help towards food costs.
Any student who is completing Work Study hours (any # hours) OR is working 20h or more in other employment may be eligible. (Other criteria may meet eligibility to apply, see full list of exemptions in “Info to apply for SNAP” document, attached.)
Below are upcoming dates when students can receive on campus help applying for SNAP:
W 9/4
Th 9/5
W 9/11
Th 9/12
M 9/16
Location: Health Promotion, 114 Student Union
Time: 10am to 2pm (20 min. appts.)
Students can call to reserve a 20-minute appointment: 645-2837 x 0.
To be eligible to apply, students:
• Must be a US citizen or have Green Card 5 years
• Have <10.5 meals/week on the Meal Plan or no meal plan at all
• Be completing hours in Work Study (any # hours) OR are employed 20 hours or more in other employment or meet other criteria
