Admissions Graduate Intern Position
The Office of Admissions in the School of Law seeks an Admissions Intern for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Admissions Intern will support the School of Law Admissions Team in recruiting and evaluating applicants and supporting office functions during the admissions cycle.
Requirements:
We seek an individual who will bring enthusiasm and initiative to a hardworking, collaborative team. The Admissions Intern should be enrolled in a graduate or professional degree program at UB. They will have a high attention to detail, demonstrate excellent judgement, possess essential skills with computers and technology, and be comfortable working in an office environment with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Job Description:
The Admissions Intern reports directly to the Associate Director of Admissions and will work closely with the admissions team charged with recruiting and enrolling law students.
Responsibilities include:
• Work with the Admissions team to manage the application and enrollment process.
• Communicate with prospective and admitted candidates in person, via telephone, text, email, and online chat.
• Meet face-to-face with candidates and conduct informational tours of O’Brian Hall.
• Provide consistent front desk and phone coverage; assist other team members and offices across the School of Law as needed.
• Support the planning, logistics, and execution of recruitment and yield events, including Open Houses, Accepted Student Visits, LSAT Prep Workshops, and Orientation programs, occasionally on select weekends.
• Manage specific projects not limited to data entry and the promotion of the School of Law.
• Contribute to content development for engagement initiatives, including blogs, academic resource materials, and event communications.
• Provide support for LSAT Prep events on select weekends.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Assist with other activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent written and communication skills, have previous work experience, and be proficient in basic computer skills, including knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications. We look for the ability to handle a high level of responsibility with good judgment and evidence of previous experience multi-tasking. Organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to work independently while paying attention to detail, are also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current law student with familiarity with the law school environment and academic experience, or a graduate/professional student with experience in higher education. Ideal candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting prospective and incoming students through May 2026.
Commitment and Compensation:
The position requires 16-20 hours of work per week, to be conducted during normal business hours. Availability during special weekend and evening events preferred. Start and end dates for each semester are flexible based on student’s class and finals schedules, travel plans, etc. In general, the position will begin in August of 2025 and end in May of 2026. Compensation will be an hourly wage of $19.00/hour.
