Micro-credentials designed to deepen your understanding of diversity and justice

Post by Undergraduate Law BA »

Did you know you can earn micro-credentials on your way to completing your degree—without taking extra courses?

The Department of Sociology & Criminology offers two undergraduate-level micro-credentials designed to deepen your understanding of diversity and justice while enhancing your resume. Find program requirements and apply below:

Micro-Credential in Understanding Diversity through Sociology https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/socio ... ml#title_1
Micro-Credential in Crime and Justice in a Diverse Societyhttps://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/socio ... ntial.html

Both micro-credentials begin with SOC 211: Sociology of Diversity, and each includes two electives that also count toward your major or minor. This means you can stack these credentials, earning both as you progress toward your degree.

Why Earn Micro-Credentials?
  • ✅ Showcase specialized knowledge in diversity, crime and justice.
  • ✅ Boost your resume with digital badges recognized by employers and grad schools.
  • ✅ No additional courses: courses count toward your degree requirements.
If you’re already planning to take SOC 211 or any of the listed electives, you’re closer than you think to earning a micro-credential.
