The University at Buffalo is proud to honor our first-generation college students, faculty and staff. Join us as we recognize their success and achievements during First-Generation Celebration Week!
Monday, Nov. 3 | Paint-a-bull.
7 a.m. outside the Student Union
Monday, Nov. 3 | National first-generation college student day kickoff.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the first floor of Capen Hall (by the pillar near One World Café).
Monday, Nov. 3 | The First to be Well: Centering Connections and Well-being on the Path to Success,
Presented by Paris Wicker, reception to follow.
Keynote, 4-5 p.m. followed by reception, 5-6 p.m. in 330 Student Union.
Tuesday, Nov. 4 | First-Gen Forward with the Career Design Center and Alumni Engagement
4-6 p.m. in Student Union, Social Hall
Join us for a dynamic networking event celebrating first-generation students, alums, faculty and staff at UB. This event features speed networking, open connection time, free professional headshots and “Proud to Be First” swag to celebrate first-gen identity and build lasting relationships across the UB community. Come to connect, share your story and grow your network!
