Applications Open for Sophomore Extern Program

A unique program at UB matches sophomores with WNY’s top companies and organizations for a paid summer externship.

Through the WNY Sophomore Externship Experience (SEE) program, UB matches selected students with one of WNY’s top companies. Students gain experience, build their network, develop new skills, and see how they can make a difference in WNY.

• Earn $4,000. 

• Approximately 25 hours/week from June 1 – July 31, 2026 (Monday–Thursday at host sites, Fridays professional development).

• Opportunities at Western New York’s top companies and organizations. 

• Open to all majors.

• Earn course credit and a micro-credential.

Students who are curious and creative are strongly encouraged to apply.
