2026 Fellowship Opportunities

Dear Law Students:
The New York Bar Foundation is currently accepting applications for the following fellowships:
Trusts and Estates Law Section Fellowship
Value: $7,500 Deadline: February 16, 2026
The fellowship is open to first-year (1L) and second-year (2L) law students who are currently enrolled in law schools in the State of New York to work in trusts and estates law positions in the public sector in the State of New York during the summer months.

Jana Springer Behe Corporate Counsel Section Fellowship
Value: $7,000 Deadline: February 6, 2026
The fellowship is open to second year (2L) students who are enrolled in a law school in the State of New York from under-represented groups capable of fulfilling the requested work hours and responsibilities. The fellowship goal is twofold. First, to provide the selected organizations with a student from a diverse background to provide assistance; and second, to provide the student with an opportunity to experience in-house legal practice.
