Paid externship opportunity for UB and non-UB sophomores.

The Western New York Sophomore Externship Experience @ UB gives sophomore students the opportunity to get ahead — and get paid $4,000 — this summer.
The WNY Sophomore Externship program is open to most local college sophomores, including:
UB matches students with one of WNY’s top companies, where students can gain experience, build their network, develop leadership skills, and earn UB course credit. In addition to on-site work at a local company, students will spend one day a week exploring WNY and learning about everything the Buffalo-Niagara region offers (a nice bonus if you want your student to stay in WNY after graduation).
Applications are due January 27, 2026, so apply today!

The WNY Sophomore Externship Experience @ UB is supported through a generous gift from the Bryant Foundation and Prentice Family Foundation. It is operated by the Startup and Innovation Collaboratory powered by Blackstone LaunchPad with support from numerous campus partners.

- Sophomores at other WNY universities and colleges.
- Sophomores who went to high school in WNY.
