March 13 deadlline - Pride Scholarship from LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association

The LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association's Pride Scholarship was established to honor students who can demonstrate academic success, financial need, and a commitment to LGBTQ advocacy or education.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must:
  • Be a currently enrolled, full-time graduate student, professional student or undergraduate student with at least 60 completed credits.
  • Show a high level of academic achievement.
  • Identify financial need.
  • Demonstrate a contribution to the LGBTQ+ community at UB or elsewhere.
  • Show leadership potential either within the LGBTQ+ community or within their field of study.
  • Speak to how their work supports equity and inclusion.
  • Candidates may be from any discipline and have no specific citizenship status.
Application

Candidates may apply through the UB Scholarship Portal. https://buffalo.academicworks.com/
Each application should include:
  • Thoughtful and well-written responses to several short essay questions.
  • An updated resume.
  • Contact information for one character reference.
A character reference may be any person of the applicant's choosing including, but not limited to UB faculty and staff, a mentor, supervisor or peer.

The deadline to apply is March 13, 2026.
