The Office of Admissions in the School of Law seeks an Admissions Intern for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Admissions Intern will support the School of Law Admissions Team in recruiting and enrolling law students, supporting office functions during the admission cycle, and contributing to projects related to admissions communications, marketing strategy, and prospective student engagement.

Requirements:
We seek an individual who will bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a willingness to learn to a hardworking, collaborative team. The Admissions Intern should be a current law student entering their second or third year of law school in Fall 2026. Prior admissions or marketing experience is not required, as training will be provided. The strongest candidates will be highly organized, take careful notes, follow through on assigned projects, and be open to feedback, revision, and continued learning.

The Admissions Intern should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, professionalism, basic computer skills, and comfort working in an office environment with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

Job Description:
The Admissions Intern reports directly to the Associate Director of Admissions and will work closely with the admissions team charged with recruiting and enrolling law students.

Responsibilities include:
• Work with the Admissions team to support the application and enrollment process.
• Communicate with prospective and admitted candidates in person, by phone, text, email, and online chat.
• Meet face-to-face with candidates and conduct informational tours of O’Brian Hall.
• Provide consistent front desk and phone coverage; assist other team members and offices across the School of Law as needed.
• Support the planning, logistics, and execution of recruitment and yield events, including Open Houses, Accepted Student Visits, LSAT Prep Workshops, and Orientation programs, occasionally on select weekends.
• Assist with marketing and engagement projects, including review of admissions emails, website content, social media posts, student-facing materials, and prospective student resources.
• Track observations, organize project notes, and help identify recommendations for improving prospective and admitted student communications.
• Contribute to content development for admissions initiatives, including blogs, academic resource materials, event communications, LinkedIn posts, and related projects.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Assist with other activities as needed.

Educational Value:
• Networking opportunities within the School of Law and with greater university admissions colleagues.
• Establish a working knowledge of law school admissions, recruitment, enrollment, and marketing strategy.
• Hands-on professional experience developing counseling, communication, project management, and event planning skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, professional admissions office.
• Opportunities to strengthen written and oral communication skills through admissions outreach, content review, and student engagement projects.
• Exposure to how admissions offices evaluate audience needs, messaging, recruitment strategies, and the student enrollment experience.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, previous work experience, and proficiency in basic computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. We look for the ability to handle a high level of responsibility with good judgment, strong organizational and time-management skills, and evidence of previous experience managing multiple tasks. Candidates must be able to work independently while paying close attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, careful note-taking habits, follow-through on assigned projects, and a commitment to supporting prospective and incoming students. Familiarity with the law school environment and the student experience is strongly preferred.

Commitment and Compensation:
The position requires 13-15 hours of work per week, to be conducted during normal business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM M - F). Start and end dates for each semester are flexible based on the student’s class schedule, finals schedule, travel plans, and related academic commitments. In general, the position will begin in August of 2026 and end in May of 2027. Compensation will be an hourly wage of $19.00/hour.
