The Department of Indigenous Studies will be offering SCN 101: Introduction to Seneca Language this fall (see attached).

SCN 101 will concentrate on developing student’s speaking proficiency of the Seneca language at the novice level. Damian Webster, the beloved language program coordinator for the Tonawanda Seneca Nation, will again be our instructor for this course. He has extensive experience instructing students and students that took his class in Fall 2025 really enjoyed his teaching style!

This course is a Pathways course (Global Reflections, List 1) and would also be an asset for any students in education planning to teach in NYS schools.
