Upcoming National Fellowships and Scholarships:

Any student receiving a Pell Grant and planning to study abroad should consider applying for the Gilman Scholarship for up to $5,000 towards their trip. The deadline for Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 programs is October 3. Interested students should contact Megan Stewart for more information and help with the application. Seniors in any major (who are U.S. citizens) interested in spending a gap year abroad may be a good fit for the Fulbright program. Fulbright grants provide funding to teach English, conduct research, or pursue graduate study in over 100 countries. The Truman Scholarship is open to juniors with exceptional leadership potential who plan to pursue a career in public service (areas such as government, policy, advocacy, education, or nonprofit leadership). The scholarship provides up to $30,000 towards graduate school and applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals. Seniors planning to apply to a research-based master’s or PhD program in a STEM field should consider applying for the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). The fellowship provides up to three years of financial support, including a $37,000 annual stipend and tuition coverage, and is open to U.S. citizens, nationals and permanent residents.
