Segment Synopsis: UB Law School Dean Nils Olsen recounting Mikoll's career accomplishments, her work with him on the Advisory Committee, award history and the pleasure of getting to know her. Olsen on Mikoll: Graduated one of two women in her class from UB Law School. Two years later became youngest Judge ever to preside in Buffalo City Court. First woman to be elected to Appellate Division. Resigned from bench after serving for 44yrs. Describing her as dignified and dedicated. Quote from Justice Judith Kay, Mikoll a path-breaker for women. Getting to know her on the Dean's Advisory Council, a natural leader. Recognizing her list of awards, i.e. Red Jacket Award, WNY Women's Hall of Fame. Acknowledging her beautiful personality in addition to accolades, honors men and women of the law school.

Segment Synopsis: Ange on Mikoll: Known her for many years. Met her in City Court. Difficulty her first time in court and Mikoll reached out to her. Appointed to City Court at 27 years old for the next 14 yrs. Referring to her, a sitting Judge, as Annie. First woman to be elected to the Supreme Court in the 8th Judicial District, momentous event. In 1971 limited number of female lawyers. Photo of her swearing in, quote from Mikoll from that time. A beginning for women to be taken seriously in law. First woman to be appointed to Appellate Division. Knew that law was not just a theory, but has an impact. Knowing her is knowing the real her. She never changes, remains modest and involved in community. Involved in the organizations with which she was a part. Proud of Polish heritage, eager to share. Most of all, loyal and supportive friend. Genuine and generous. Expressing congratulations.
