Segment Synopsis: Tasha Moore grew up in a hard-working, Christian family in Chicago. Lots of supportive family, although no lawyers. Her grandmother was a union rep who would advocate for coworkers, and this inspired Moore's career. After undergraduate college in Florida, she worked as an accountant. Her husband had an opportunity to move to Buffalo, so they made the switch. She got married, had a child, moved to Buffalo, and became a housewife before she went to UB Law School. This was considered an investment to her, but it spiraled into a real job.

Segment Synopsis: Moore entered into the army during her undergraduate years. It disciplined her, and increased her maturity. Once she left the military, she continued to work hard. Later, she remembers the high diversity that made up her class. It was refreshing to be around all-aged demographics and the professors were welcoming. With no preconceived notions, she entered into UB Law and came out successful with the help of her teachers. Her favorite class was Conflicts of Law which was challenging, but interesting. Law school was a job for her and kept her from other extra curricular activities (with the exception of the Black Law Student Association). When she was at school, her son was at the UB South Campus Daycare. Quitting law school to raise her child was not an option. Finishing was the goal. Moore's mentors helped to encourage her during the years. Moore made lasting friendships and maintained long distance relationships. She spent her summers interning in the New York State Division of Human Rights. After, she received an attorney job and became the regional director for 10 years.

Segment Synopsis: Moore notes that her greatest professional achievement was the manner in which she transitioned from the NY Division of Human Rights to the Office of Court Administration Safe Judicial District. She worked in the division for 17 years when she got the call for the position in the courts. With low transition time, she made perfect adjustments.

Segment Synopsis: Community service has been a common theme throughout all of Moore's life. Since her move to Buffalo and motherhood, she developed an interest in education. She became involved in what was important to her, and recommends others to as well. After finding funding and group to work with, Moore set up the UB Law Scholars Program. It took years, but the hard-work showed, and many students were taught the practice of laws. This created a strong line of undergraduate minority students to enter law school.
She aligns with a positive impression of all the students and stays very involved.
