Segment Synopsis: Born in Silver Creek, NY, one older brother (accountant), working class parents, father was WWII vet. First to go to college. Majored in History. Worked for 5 years before returning to Law School. Athletic and involved in sports; didn't have role lawyer models. Buffalo made the most sense economically for him. Attended at the new Amherst Campus. Dean Headrick was running the school. Classes were huge. New experience for him, rigorous education. Composition of student body. Lived on Lisbon in an apartment while attending school. Inspired by Louis DelCotto to go into tax law. Law Review. Reunions with classmates. Lives in NYC. Guest taught a class at UB. Teaches at Hofstra.
