School of Law Supportive Listening Session Friday, November 20, 1:00 p.m. (EST) | via Zoom
Online learning during the pandemic has been a huge shift for students leading to screen fatigue, stress, anxiety, distraction and decreased academic performance. This stress may be compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, loss, economic pressures, national instances of racialized violence, daily macro and microaggressions, and a number of other events that have caused students from historically marginalized groups to experience trauma. This group session will focus on increasing coping skills. ALL STUDENTS are invited to join UB Counseling Services for a Supportive Listening Session. Listening Sessions provide an opportunity for students to share how they have been emotionally and psychologically impacted by the numerous stressors students have experienced throughout the school year. To help students build resilience as final exams approach, we will discuss ways to identify coping, grounding and support.
