Reminder: Free eTextbook Guides & Lexis Digital Library Pagination Issue

The majority of law school announcements can be found in this section. However, don't forget to check your class year section as well for information specific to your class.

Reminder: Free eTextbook Guides & Lexis Digital Library Pagination Issue

Post by Assoc Dir Law Lib »

Hi everyone, welcome back!
Just a reminder that you can access free eTextbooks for several law school classes using the links on the following guides:
1L Courses: https://research.lib.buffalo.edu/1lspring (The 1L Guide includes links to online retailers.)
Upper-level Courses: https://research.lib.buffalo.edu/spring21ebooks
Several of the links in the guides above will take you to our LexisNexis Digital Library subscription. Since the pagination in the Digital Library typically differs from the pagination in the corresponding print titles, the publisher told us about a workaround where you can search for print pages using brackets. Here is an image showing how to search for the start of print page 15 in an eBook:

Also, our Lexis Representative, Celine was kind enough to prepare a short video walking you through the process: https://relx.zoom.us/rec/play/XZ-iTlOSU ... v301MvgLVU
As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
All the best,
Brian
