The Jaeckle Award is the highest award the Law School and the Law Alumni Association can bestow. Please join our UB faculty, alumni and students on Thursday, Feb. 25th, at 5:30 p.m. when we honor Judge Hugh B. Scott '74 during a livestream broadcast.

Judge Scott has spent more than three decades on the bench, stepping down as an active U.S. magistrate judge in 2015. The first African American to serve as a federal judge in the Western District of New York, he has been previously honored as a distinguished graduate by both the Buffalo Law Review (2002) and the UB Law Alumni Association (2003).
