Door Decorating Contest and End-of-Year Video

Get ready for the Winter is Coming Door Decorating Contest, hosted by our amazing Career Services Office! This is a fantastic chance to come together as a community and show your creativity while supporting each other before finals.

You know how we like contests and networking and parties with great food and drinks. So, find your favorite law professor or staff member (or, better yet, someone you don't even know!) and join forces to decorate their door. Decorating starts Monday, November 4th, and must be completed by Monday, November 25th at noon.

• The theme is "Winter Wonderland: Winter Is Coming"

• Just one contest rule: At least one UB Law employee and at least one UB Law student must participate in the creation of each entry. (Well, and don't do anything dangerous, no tripping hazards, don't alter the building, damage the door, etc.). We'll try to make sure the prizes are sharable in the event that you have more than one student on a team.

• Prizes will be given in the following categories:

• Best Law Related Door Decor

• Most Theme-Related: Winter Is Coming (whatever you think it means...Autumn? Snow? Game of Thrones?)

• Most Inclusive Door

• Best Buffalo-related Design (UB, Buffalo, NY, sports, anything you like)

• Most Artistic

• Biggest WOW Factor

• Best Overall

The contest wraps up on Monday, November 25th, and we’ll celebrate with results, prizes, and hot chocolate in the lobby from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Office of Communications will be there, inviting you to participate in our end-of-year video! You can share your reflections from 2024 and your wishes for 2025 by writing a message and pinning it on our wall of reflections and wishes. Please stop by our table, write a message and pin it on our wall for all to enjoy. We will capture a video of you writing your message and posting it.
