Update to Geology (GLY) Courses - Now Department of Earth Sciences (ERT)

Did you hear? Geology is now the Department of Earth Sciences and courses previously listed under the GLY prefix will now be ERT moving forward.

What does this mean for you? Geology is now the Department of Earth Sciences and courses previously listed under the GLY prefix will now be ERT moving forward.
  • The course catalog and HUB are updated to ERT prefixes.
  • Same course offerings with the new ERT prefix.
  • Talk to your academic advisor about course registration questions.
Please keep this in mind, particularly if you were interested in GLY 101: Natural Hazards, GLY 102: Climate Change, GLY 104: Earth History & Fossils Lab, GLY 105: Natural Hazards and Climate Change: Past, Present, Future, and/or GLY 137: The Dinosaurs for the UB Curriculum - Scientific Literacy & Inquiry (SLI) requirement. Those courses will now be listed as ERT 101, ERT 102, ERT 104, ERT 105, and ERT 137.
