Honorary Law Student Board Member, Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter

Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter is seeking a motivated law student from the Class of 2021 to serve as an honorary board member for a two year term. The term will begin on June 1, 2019. Duties will include: serving as an honorary board member (entitled to notice of and to attend and participate in all meetings of the Board of Directors, but not entitled to vote on any actions and not to be counted for purposes of determining a quorum); assisting with administration of programs and events; participating at table days at the SUNY at Buffalo Law School; recruiting members; assisting in fostering programs and services to women law students.

WBASNY WNY’s mission is to promote the advancement of the status of women in society and of women in the legal profession; to promote the fair and equal administration of justice; to act as a unified voice for its members with respect to issues of statewide, national and international significance to women generally and to women attorneys in particular. Applicant must be a current member of WBASNY WNY, and a student in good standing at SUNY Buffalo Law School.
