Volunteer Opportunity | Teaching Black History Conference 2026

The University at Buffalo’s Center for K-12 Black History and Racial Literacy Education is excited to announce that the 2026 Teaching Black History Conference will take place from July 24, 2026 – July 25, 2026 on UB’s South Campus. https://ed.buffalo.edu/black-history-ed ... rence.html

We are seeking passionate, community-minded volunteers to help make this year’s conference a meaningful, organized, and welcoming experience for hundreds of educators, scholars, and community members dedicated to Black history education.

Volunteer roles include:

✅ Registration & attendee check-in
✅ Session support (timekeeping, distributing materials, assisting presenters)
✅ Vendor & exhibitor liaison
✅ Tech & AV support
✅ Guiding attendees between rooms and ensuring accessible routes
✅ Hospitality and refreshments support
✅ Capturing photos and social media updates
✅ General event support wherever needed
