HACU Conferences:
The Adelante Leadership Institute will be taking place October 31 – November 2, 2026, in Chula Vista, California. This is a three-day career leadership, development and networking symposium for undergraduate students held in conjunction with HACU’s Annual Conference. Scholarships:
HACU scholarships for the 2026-2027 year are in the final stages of review. Awarded students will be notified in the second half of August. Students will have two weeks to complete the required next steps to verify enrollment at a HACU-member institution and that all other scholarship requirements are still being met. Students should be monitoring their emails for updates from AwardSpring. If students do not complete the next steps by the given deadline, alternates will be contacted. Grant Opportunity: The Bridging the Unmet Industry Learning Demands for Research Administrators (BUILD) Program is an NSF-funded grant program designed to help students (undergraduate and graduate) launch careers in research administration and research development.

Emerging Leaders' Summit
HACU will hold the next Emerging Leaders' Summit (ELS) of 2026 on Friday, September 25, 2026, 1-4 p.m. CT. ELS is designed for undergraduate students from HACU-member institutions to develop their leadership potential by engaging in intensive workshops and panel discussions focused on leadership development and career readiness. As well as connecting with HACU’s partners that may be actively networking and recruiting for internship opportunities. Molson Coors and Dominion Energy will have representatives joining us for this ELS!

- Minimum 2.5 GPA, 3.0 GPA preferred.
