LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER for the LOTTERY FOR RBG CLASS in O'BRIAN HALL

The University at Buffalo School of Law is pleased to provide an opportunity for all current law students to be part of a class taught by Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of the U.S.

1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Registration for the lottery will end on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Results of the lottery will be emailed to all law students on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Justice Ginsburg will discuss the recently concluded 2018-19 term of the U.S. Supreme Court in Room 106, moderated by Lucinda Finley, Frank G. Raichle Professor of Trial and Appellate Advocacy. Closed simulcast of the class will be available in Rooms 107, 108 and 109 only. Due to limited seating in Room 106, law students will be selected via lottery. You must register for the lottery to be eligible for a seat in 106.

Selection Process:
• All current UB School of Law students are eligible for a seat in one of the available classrooms (Rooms 106-109).
• Seating in Room 106 will be equally distributed by lottery among the classes (50 students from each class) selected by your anticipated graduation year (2020, 2021, 2022).
• Students will be selected to sit in 106 by their UB Person #, as entered on the registration form.
• SBA leadership will be present during the lottery.
• Students who are not selected via the lottery to sit in Room 106 will be assigned to an overflow room based on your anticipated graduation year.
• Students seated in an overflow room will view class on a closed-simulcast system.
• You do not need to enter the registration lottery to sit in an overflow room.

Important Details:
No electronic devices are permitted in any of the classrooms (phones, tablets or other recording devices). Please secure prior to arrival.
• Room designations are non-transferable.
• Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis in designated rooms.
• If you are selected to sit in Room 106 but choose to release your seat, please notify Amy Atkinson as soon as possible (aatkins@buffalo.edu) so that another student may be randomly selected.
• UB ID will be required to enter any of the classroom(s).
• Business casual dress code is required.
• No soliciting for autographs.
• Doors open at 12:45 p.m. All students must be seated by 1:10 p.m. No one will be allowed to enter the classroom after the doors close at 1:15 p.m.

Please note that all classes scheduled before 3 p.m. on Aug. 26th will be rescheduled to allow all law students to participate in the day's events.
