Two-Step Verification Enrollment Required by 11/18/19

Post by Assoc Dir Law Lib »

Hi everyone,

You should already have received an email about this last week but as a reminder, you need to enroll in two-step verification by November 18, 2019, for continued access to UB online services like HUB, UBlearns, and UB Box. To enroll, please visit buffalo.edu/ubit/duo. This is a new mandate from CIT for all UB students, and I would encourage you all to do it well before the deadline, since November 18th is close enough to exams that you will not want to interrupt your studies to do it then. For more information, please see the quoted language below from University VP and Chief Information Officer Brice Bible:

"Two-step verification protects your account and personal information by requiring a secondary device, like a smartphone or security key, when logging into most UB online services.
To learn more about two-step verification and enable two-step verification for your account, please visit buffalo.edu/ubit/duo. When you begin enrollment, you will need to have at least one of your chosen second-step devices nearby.
If you need assistance with your UBITName account or password, please contact the UBIT Help Center online at buffalo.edu/ubit/help or by phone at 716-645-3542.
Please join me in enabling two-step verification for your UBITName account today to help make our campus community safer."

If you have any questions, please see Law IT on the second floor of the Law Library or stop by the CIT Help Desk on the third floor of Silverman Library in Capen Hall.

Thanks,

Brian
