Hi everyone!
Effective immediately, the 7th Floor of the Law Library will be open to all J.D. and LL.M. students 24/7! You will still need to enter through the 5th floor door near the faculty offices after hours as there is no separate entrance on 7. All other floors of the library (2,3,4, and 6) remain off-limits when the library is closed.
Also, please see the message below from Vice Provost for University Libraries Evviva Weinraub Lajoie regarding our hours:
“Please note that the Law Library’s hours for December will be changed slightly. Land acknowledgment: The University at Buffalo operates on the territory of the Seneca Nation, a member of the Haudenosaunee/Six Nations Confederacy. This territory is covered by The Dish with One Spoon Treaty of Peace and Friendship, a pledge to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. It is also covered by the 1794 Treaty of Canandaigua, between the United States Government and the Six Nations Confederacy, which further affirmed Haudenosaunee land rights and sovereignty in the State of New York. Today, this region is still the home to the Haudenosaunee people, and we are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and share ideas in this territory."
If you have any questions about these changes, please see me or a member of our staff.
Thanks and happy studying!
