Estate Planning for the Young Professional
Every young professional, shortly after landing his or her first job, and especially if starting a family, must engage in estate planning. The decision to execute estate planning documents can be stressful and overwhelming but doing so is essential for the personal and financial well-being of a young professional. The goal of this program is to educate young lawyers on various planning documents, the benefits of having these safeguards in place, and the potential consequences of being without them under New York law. We will cover the following estate planning tools: Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy, Living Will, Last Will and Testament, and Beneficiary Designations.

Launching and Growing a Boutique Firm: A View from the Trenches
The founding partners of two boutique law firms and two solo practices share their experiences and insights regarding launching and maintaining a small law firm practice. The panelists will offer valuable nuts-and-bolts advice on launching your firm, formulating and executing on a marketing strategy to comply with the NYS Rules of Professional Conduct, getting clients and developing strong attorney and client relationships, surviving the pandemic and shifting a small firm to a virtual platform, and will spin some cautionary tales. Whether you have recently launched a small practice of your own or have dreamt of doing so, this will be a lively and informative discussion.

Antitrust 360 and Me
As a young lawyer, it can be difficult to find your niche. Antitrust law is an interdisciplinary practice area that affords practitioners the flexibility to work broadly across civil and criminal matters, including litigations, investigations, and transactions or, alternatively, to specialize in a particular space. This panel will explore the experiences of three antitrust lawyers as a means to elucidate the allure and demands of the various facets of both private and government practices. Join us to consider where you may fit in (and maybe learn a little antitrust law too!).
