EBooks for Spring 2023

Hello all!

I hope you are all having a great start to your year! I am writing to you to give an overview of how and where to access your eBooks and some answers to frequently asked questions. We are using the same services as last semester, so it should be familiar to you.

First, a list of your course books can be found on these two research guides. It is available for 1Ls here: https://research.lib.buffalo.edu/law-spring-2023 and for Upper-Level students here: https://research.lib.buffalo.edu/textbo ... el-courses. These guides includes links to the free electronic copies of your books provided by the Law Library, when available. I will also be posting QR Codes for these guides on the monitor on the 2nd floor of the Law Library.

Second, books published by Lexis and Carolina Academic Press can be found on the LexisNexis Digital Library. This is different than your Lexis+ subscription you use for your law classes and can be found under databases on the main law library page here: https://law.lib.buffalo.edu/. You may be prompted to enter our Library Access Code. If so, it is Buffalolaw, all one word with a capital "B."

Third, for books published by Aspen/Wolters Kluwer, you will be receiving an email from Aspen with details on how to access the eBooks closer to the start of the semester. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or do not receive the email. It may end up in your spam/junk mail so be sure to check there. Additionally, just like last semester, Aspen/Wolters Kluwer offers the option to receive a loose leaf copy of your textbooks for $49+ shipping. You can also receive loose-leaf copies of books that are not in our collection for $99+ shipping. Ordering information can be found here: https://zfrmz.com/flpLfWnKxoUlXgLX8dJe

Finally, for West Academic books, you will need to go to https://eproducts.westacademic.com/ to create an account if you have not already. Be sure to use your UB email address! You will then receive a verification link shortly afterward. This is a different site from both Westlaw, that you use in class, and the West Study Aids database available on the law library homepage.

Once logged in, you can scroll down under the “Materials Provided by My School” heading to find your textbooks. Once you find the correct title, simply click the book to add it to your shelf.
