Reminder: 1L Mentoring Event 1/24

You should all have received an email from Career Services, identifying your mentor and explaining the upcoming Mentoring Event:

Thursday, January 24, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Center for Tomorrow (CFT) - Corner of Flint & Maple.

If you did not receive this e-mail, please contact CSO ASAP. Please remember that participation in the mentoring program is a requirement for your Legal Profession class with Prof. MacDonald, and attendance of the Mentoring Event is compulsory.

Between now and the Mentoring Event, please connect with your mentors and arrange to meet them as soon as possible. Ideally, you will have that opportunity at the Mentoring Event, but in the event that your mentor is not available for the event, please arrange to meet one on one at a different time and place. You will still be required to attend the Mentoring Event, even if your mentor cannot, as we will be sharing valuable information with you there.

Even if you were not required to attend, you would want to attend anyway, because this event will be catered with free light snack foods and dips, and with wine, beer, sodas (law students are reminded to drink responsibly). It will be a great opportunity not only to meet your own mentor, but also to network with other practicing UB Law graduates.

Please dress professionally and be prepared to meet people in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
